How It Works

A prescription-strength NSAID, given by IV.

This formula centers on Toradol (ketorolac), a prescription-strength NSAID. It's in the same family as ibuprofen, but stronger, and the IV gets it working faster. Vitamin C and magnesium chloride round it out. Toradol acts on pain and inflammation directly.

Because Toradol is a medication, we go over your health history carefully first. It isn't a fit for everyone, and you'll find the list of who should skip it below.

Is This Right for Me?

Good to Know

Toradol (ketorolac) is an FDA-approved prescription NSAID with a well-established effect on pain and inflammation. As a medication, it comes with precautions. It isn't safe for people with kidney disease, a history of ulcers or GI bleeding, a bleeding disorder, or who take blood thinners, and it's for short-term use rather than a regular routine. We go over your health history before every visit to make sure it's a safe fit.

Anti-Inflammatory IV FAQs

Wondering if Toradol is safe with your medications? Text us before you book.

Does Toradol work, or is this a supplement blend?

Toradol is an FDA-approved prescription NSAID that relieves pain and inflammation. It's in the same drug class as ibuprofen, and the IV brings faster, stronger relief than a pill.

Who shouldn't get this IV?

This probably isn't the IV for you if you have kidney disease, a history of stomach ulcers or GI bleeding, a bleeding disorder, or take blood thinners. The same goes if you're pregnant or have reacted to aspirin or another NSAID. We screen for all of this before your visit, and if it's a no, we'll help you find another option.

Can I get this regularly?

Toradol is for short-term relief rather than a regular routine, because repeated NSAID use is hard on the kidneys and stomach. We'll talk through a sensible schedule with you.

How fast does it work?

An IV usually brings relief faster than an NSAID pill. How fast varies from person to person.

Can I combine it with another IV or injection?

Ask us at your visit. Toradol is an active medication, so we look at combinations case by case.

Are there side effects?

Most people feel fine. Toradol can cause an upset stomach, heartburn, headache, or drowsiness, and you might have soreness or a small bruise where the IV goes in. Don't take ibuprofen, naproxen, or another NSAID on top of it. Ask us how long to wait.
