Who this isn’t for

Please don’t start any GLP-1 medication if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to get pregnant, or if you or a close family member has had medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2 (multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2). In rodent studies, GLP-1 medications caused thyroid C-cell tumors, and no one knows yet whether that happens in people, so those histories rule it out. If you’ve had pancreatitis or gallbladder problems, or you take insulin or another diabetes medication, tell us at your consult so we can talk it through.

If you’re hoping to lose a few pounds fast before an event, a monthly program like this probably won’t feel like a good match. Whatever the reason, if it isn’t the right fit, we’ll tell you kindly and help you think through what might work instead.

What's the difference between Semaglutide, Tirzepatide, and Retatrutide?

All three work on your body's appetite and blood-sugar signaling, but through a different number of pathways: Semaglutide through one, Tirzepatide through two, and Retatrutide through three. Which one fits you best comes down to your history, goals, and how you respond, which we talk through at your consult.

Does insurance cover this?

Usually not. Most insurance plans don’t cover GLP-1 medications for weight loss, and we don’t bill insurance for this program. You’ll know the exact monthly cost before you commit. You may be able to use HSA/FSA funds if your plan allows, and Cherry payment plans let you spread the cost out.

How is it administered?

As a simple weekly injection you do yourself at home, after we walk you through it at your first visit. It takes about 5 minutes once you're comfortable with it.

How does the monthly refill work?

Each month we check in on how you’re doing and get your next month’s medication ready for pickup. Use the Start Your Order button on this page when you’re due. It’s the same link for a first order and a monthly refill.

How long will I need to stay on it?

Most people stay on it for months to reach and hold their results, and we adjust your dose along the way. At your consult we’ll talk through a realistic timeline for you.

What happens if I stop taking it? Will I gain the weight back?

Some regain is common if you stop suddenly with no plan, because the appetite effect fades once you’re off the medication. As you get close to your goal, we build a plan together: a lower maintenance dose, a slow taper, or moving to habits alone. That planning is part of your monthly check-ins.

I’ve tried one of these before and it didn’t work, or I had side effects. Can you still help?

Often, yes. A different dose, a slower ramp-up, or switching to one of the other two medications can make a real difference. Bring what you remember about what you tried and how you responded, and we'll work from there at your consult.

Am I a candidate?

The general guideline is a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition like high blood pressure or sleep apnea. We confirm it at your consult, along with your health history and medications.

What are the side effects?

Nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and feeling tired are the common ones. They show up most in the first few weeks and after each dose increase, and slower dose steps and smaller meals help. Less common but serious: pancreatitis (severe belly pain that won’t let up, sometimes reaching your back), gallbladder problems, and dehydration if you’re vomiting. Call us, or get care right away, if any of those happen. If you take insulin or another diabetes medication, your blood sugar can also drop too low.
