GLP-1
The GLP-1 with the longest track record, and where most first-time patients start. $285–$400 a month, with a monthly check-in, a direct line to Nicole between visits, and a free consult first.
How It Works
Semaglutide works by mimicking GLP-1, a hormone your gut naturally releases after eating. It slows how quickly food leaves your stomach and signals your brain that you’re satisfied. Appetite and food noise are usually the first things people notice changing.
It's the medication in this category with the longest real-world track record, which is part of why it's often where first-time patients start. You'll take it as a simple weekly injection, with your dose increased gradually over your first couple of months so your body adjusts comfortably.
Is This Right for Me?
Semaglutide's long track record and gradual dosing make it a comfortable, well-understood place to start.
If constant hunger or cravings are the main obstacle, this is the pathway most directly built to quiet that.
Semaglutide has the longest record of the three for both results and safety.
Good to Know
In clinical trials, patients using the higher dose lost an average of around 15% of their body weight over about a year and a half, compared to roughly 2% on placebo.
One injection per week, self-administered. Your dose starts low and increases roughly every four weeks as tolerated, until you reach your target dose.
Nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and feeling tired are the common ones. They show up most in the first weeks after each dose increase and usually ease as your body adjusts. Less common but serious: pancreatitis (severe belly pain that won’t let up) and gallbladder problems. Call us right away if you notice either.
Pricing
Your dose sets the monthly cost. We confirm it together at your consult, and it doesn’t change at pickup.

Please don’t start Semaglutide if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to get pregnant, or if you or a close family member has had medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2 (multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2). In rodent studies, GLP-1 medications caused thyroid C-cell tumors, and no one knows yet whether that happens in people, so those histories rule it out. If you’ve had pancreatitis or gallbladder problems, or you take insulin or another diabetes medication, tell us at your consult so we can talk it through.
If you’re hoping to lose a few pounds fast before an event, a monthly program like this probably won’t feel like a good match. Whatever the reason, if it isn’t the right fit, we’ll tell you kindly and help you think through what might work instead.
Results vary from person to person and aren’t guaranteed. This page is general information. Your consult is where we look at your own health history.

Most people notice their appetite shift within the first couple of weeks. Visible weight loss builds gradually over the following months as your dose increases. Plan on months, not days.
Take it as soon as you remember if it's within a few days of your usual time. If you're closer to your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and resume your normal weekly schedule. Bring any questions to your next check-in.
Some regain is common if you stop suddenly with no plan, because appetite signals shift back once you’re off the medication. As you get close to your goal, we build a maintenance plan together, and that planning is part of your monthly check-ins.
In moderation, yes. Alcohol can make nausea worse for some people, especially early on or right after a dose increase. If you drink regularly, mention it at your consult.
Nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and tiredness, mostly as your dose ramps up. We start low and adjust based on how you respond. Less common but serious are pancreatitis and gallbladder problems, so call us if you have severe belly pain that won’t let up.
No. Ozempic and Wegovy are brand-name, FDA-approved products. Semaglutide is their active ingredient, but what we provide is not the brand-name product. Nicole will walk you through exactly what you’d be getting and how it differs at your free consult.
Usually not. Most insurance plans don’t cover GLP-1 medications for weight loss, and we don’t bill insurance for this program. You’ll know the exact monthly cost before you commit. You may be able to use HSA/FSA funds if your plan allows, and Cherry payment plans let you spread the cost out.
Some clients notice temporary shedding, usually tied to rapid weight loss rather than the medication itself. Slowing the pace and keeping protein up help, and hair usually grows back as your weight settles.
Fatigue is common in the first weeks as your intake drops. It usually settles; if it doesn't, that's a dose and nutrition conversation for your monthly check-in.
Belly, thigh, or upper arm, rotating sites each week. We teach you how at your first pickup, and most clients find it easier than they expected.
Plateaus are normal. The monthly check-ins are for exactly this: we look at your dose and your habits and decide the next step together.
